Bad days seem to be a usual part of everyone’s life! We all have them at some stage or another…

You know those days, too, don’t you? Those times when you feel like nothing is going your way. In fact, it seems as if everything is going against you! And at the end of that day, you end up feeling tired and miserable, like a total failure…

In that case, I might have something that will help you get through those days:

Whenever I’ve had a bad day, I sit down and take a long hard look at this picture. It reminds me that these people – famous as they may be – also had major setback in their lives.

But they never allowed those setbacks to get the better of them! They never gave up or stopped doing what they were passionate about.

As the saying goes, “If you’ve never failed, you’ve never tried something new before.”

Some days, it only takes a small event to throw one off track. For me, it could be as small as someone giving me a small negative comment, or me spilling juice all over my dress. Some days I lost a customer due to a small detail that I overlooked. But these are all so small compared to the hardships the heroes in that picture had to face.

Given the hurtful comments some of them received, they could have given up right then and there. But they kept going and never gave up!

Two years ago, I was at such a time in my life. Our daughter-company had just gone bankrupt. And the worst part – I was the manager. I had one job to do and I failed.

It was one of the worst times in my life. My self-confidence hit rock-bottom, and I had no idea how I would ever be able to get back on track.

During those times, this picture carried me through. I used to have it as the background image on my phone and my computer, and it was a constant reminder that these people I look up to also had their share of failures.

Looking back now, many things had shifted. I had to reorganize my entire life, face my fears, and carry on. I had to start afresh with the main company.

Like I always say, the lessons I learnt from that bankruptcy were much more valuable than any other lessons I ever learned. Letting a company go bankrupt have taught me the exact opposite – how to keep a company from bankruptcy and make it grow exponentially.

I don’t think I would have been able to learn those lessons anywhere elsewhere.

And so, brick by brick, I started rebuilding. And now, there is a much brighter future ahead of us!

I never gave up! If something failed, I learnt quickly and moved on to try and find something else that worked!

I never let any challenges get the better of me! I stood up and tackled them head-on!

If you have been taken aback by some failure, it is now time that you get back up. That failure has given you amazing experience and taught you valuable lessons that you could never have learned elsewhere.

Stand up and try again! Plan to succeed! And if you fail, try again…

Sooner or later, you have to get it right!
